Sunrise and the promise of a new day of growth and development is caught in layered windows of movement and glimpses of fresh sun start to hit the leaves. My paintings are created using multiple layers of opaque and transparent shapes and colour. Initial layers of acrylic paint are painted over with luminescent oils using special mediums to create the transparency. Grounded in the enquiry of botanic forms, the subtle changes through time and season, are captured through abstract and realistic elements that interplay through overlaying colour and form. The 'windows' created play with space and depth drawing the viewer into their enchanting world.
